Varilux progressive lenses were the world’s first commercially produced progressive lenses. Designed by Bernard Maitenez in 1957, they were initially produced by Essel of France, which later became Essilor – the world’s largest producer of eyeglass lenses.
Now in their 8th generation of design, Varilux lenses represent the world’s most accepted progressive lenses. Together with Crizal anti-glare coatings, Varilux brings you comfortable, sharp progressive vision and easy adaptation. If you’ve had trouble adapting to progressive lenses before, we suggest trying Varilux S series lenses. These have proven successful for many difficult to fit clients.
We have the Essilor M’EyeFit digital measuring system on hand to help obtain the most accurate measurements for your Varilux lenses.
